my bellina from hoosier orchids, in s/h culture in plastic drinking cup. it is happier when the weather is warmer

so far all of my bellinas have reflexed petals, hoping other seedlings bloom a little flatter. the fragrance isn't too much different than my violacea alba

Nice bellina... I like the ones with more 'starry' shape... Sometimes I think those selected very round ones tend to look a bit 'fake'... Just my opinion...hehe..

i do generally agree that overly-improved species do get a bit fake-looking if they get too flat and round, especially many of the hybrids. a bit wild makes them look 'real'
