Paph Vanda M. Pearman is (Paphiopedilum bellatulum x Paphiopedilum delenatii). 1939

One of the firts Paph I bought. It was 20 years ago. Very tough.... I tested my "skills" on this plant...

I don't think that it is a real good form for that grex. Remake of this cross have better form I guess ????). Maybe longer stalk too?

I think it's about as good as it gets. To me, none of them are attractive.

Nice! I've got one that's grown enormous and hasn't flowered for years.

That is an excelent blooming, I hope mine is as good as yours when it finally blooms.

Thanks everybody.

Shiva, my plant didn't bloom every year, although I almost always had some mature growths. It flowered easily when I was growing it in the basement or my first house. But I grew it on a warmer site for a while (many years without flowering).

Hypothesis: maybe the plant needs cooler temperture in winter for bud initiation?

I think that's pretty good for that cross. This was one of the first brachy crosses I tried, wasn't tough enough for me.:sob:
I do much better with brachys now thank goodness!
