Finally got a chance to photgraph the first of two niveums. I tried something different this time I shot these pics under fluorscent lighting with the camera set for that lighting. What do you all think?

I am using a tripod Corbin. I think I'll try more shots with longer exposures and some flash lighting as well. Thanks for the insight.

I photograph all of mine under the florescent lights (with the white balance set for one of the florescent settings (my camara has three)) and find with a f stop of 22 (to increase depth of field) I have to expose for 1/6 to 1/4 sec. to get the colors right. I generally start at 1/8 and then take a series of pics. changing the f stop each time and then pick the one that has the right color.

p.s. you will need a cable release at these speeds to keep from getting camara shake as you press the button.
