Paphiopedilum rothschildianum Clone #11
('Dazzler' x 'Buff') x ('Red Baron' x 'Wide Horizon' AM/AOS)

Select parents are both from the Orchid
Zone. The 'Wide Horizon' grandparent has an AM/AOS. The Orchid Zone is no longer in business, so this is a rare opportunity to get a plant that has 100% Orchid Zone breeding line genetics.

My plant of the exact same cross is setting spike! Any tips for fertilising while in spike? This is my first Roth. One of the bottom leaves has died to feed the spike, I want to keep more from dying.

Did this ever bloom
Here's mine 25 days after the last photo. It seems very slow, the sheath is still quite flat. We're midway through autumn and it is cooling down, day night temp between 18 and 24 Celsius, 14 hour photo period at a rather low lux level.

I recently sold my plant in sheath as I am moving countries. However I think the spike has been very slow to develop as it originally came from Germany and would have been blooming in Summer, but instead is now in spike in temps below 12 degC. Will it develop normally in these temperatures?

A side note, I believe it was growing 4 new fans from the original fan!
