A monotypic genus, if I'm not mistaken, from Brazil. Related to Cattleya, although the growth habit is much more like a rambling mini-Bulbo. The thing is pretty tiny, as you can tell from the scale of the treefern pole it's growing on.

It is absolutely adorable! and looks completely impossible to grow (for me, because of the spaced out pbulbs). LovelY!

Great little plant, isn't it? What a lot of folks don't realize is that it is quite cold resistant. I have one growing in the garden and it is currently in bud. Temperatures lately every morning have been averaging around freezing with the coldest day right at 24 F. This little guy has been unfazed!
