Back in January 09 I posted some pics from this same plant with dark flowers and petal span in the 16.5 cm range.

Here's some new pics from the same plant with flowers up to 21 cm in span.

The largest flower is the palest, but quite a range of color intensity from spike to spike.
 
Temperature changes blooming to blooming? Difference in light???


Hard to say what's going on here Dot. Given the relatively short life of Phrag flowers and these are all open now (and formed at roughly the same times), there's possibly a bit of difference in light, but probably not much difference in temps from one spot to the next for these 3 flowers. Feeding regime has changed significantly since the relatively small blooms from last winter.
