Yeah, the dorsal is pretty amazing. It's like art, in plant form.
It looks quite different from the two gratrix. I have, but I really like it.

What I read was ...
wide leaves, shorter flower stems, bold spotting on the dorsal & the green halo on the dorsal doesn't exceed 1/4.
Now don't ask me where I read it, that part of my memory is gone!

This is one of the species that Holger Perner is bringing in from his lab in China, so it must have a range in southern China.

I don't know if this will help, but here's a picture of my gratrix where you can see the entire plant (it has skipped flowering this year, but I'm not complaining since the new fans are too immature yet).

Thanks again. I have to admit that this whole gratrixianum group is still a bit of an enigma to me
