Both are first flowering seedlings from two different flasks of very similar breeding.
#1 is henryanum 'Bear' x charlesworthii 'Bear'
#2 is charlesworthii 'New Bear' x henryanum 'Bear'
#1 has a more compact growth habit and the bloom is slightly smaller (a bit more pink in the dorsal)
#2 has a larger plant size (not by much), and the bloom is a bit bigger in all aspects, as well as a much longer flower spike. Both are a bit early, and I am hoping that a few others will still bloom this season.

Both very nice! Great comparison of the reciprocal crosses, not easy to find this kind of info. #2 is my favorite, I like the greater clarity/contrast of colors in the dorsal.
