Dend first blooming.

A relatively new purchase (bought around October last year).. its first blooming with 3 flowers.. The flowers are wet because it just rained...
Dend (Dawn Maree x draconis):

I love dends from this section (Formosae/Nigrohirsutae).. The flowers are so long lasting and they are usually fragrant.. But they're not easy to grow. I've kiled 2 Dawn Marees, which I bought as rather large keikis. I think the roots might be very sensitive to fertiliser burn. Although I have not fed this plant for nearly a year, it seems to grow well.. Hmm...

No fertilizer, tht's a good way to save money. And low maintenance, you don't even have to be where the plant is and it flowers and you get photos! oke:

You're wrong, Eric... The price I paid for that plant includes photographer's fees as well...
