My two Coryhopea finally bloomed! And both at the same time!

I put together a detailed tour and morphological discussion of both hybrids, with links and tags to demonstrate how the Coryhopea flower forms are recognizably intermediate modifications of the highly specialized structures of genera Coryanthes and Stanhopea. Hope you enjoy it! Link is through this thumbnail:

Outrageous and fascinating as well as strange and beautiful, all in equal shares form me. I love your pictures, it's good to get a 3 dimantional idea about what something like that really looks like.

what an excellent job you did with that. thanks!
eric- it is a shame, but in my experience what they lack in flower life they often make up for in floriferousness. many of my plants that are up to good size now will be in flower for a month or two at a time even when individual flowers only last 3 days..
