Cochleanthes discolor

Grows and flowers under lights, it is a thirsty plant. Flower about 2 inches tall and has no scent. Plant seems grow and flower on a 9 month cycle and now flowers on multiple growths.

Nice! I like these a lot, just don't have one. Does yours have the "cedar fragrance" that's supposedly typical?...

Slipperfan - I haven't had any trouble with leaf tips browning other than when they touch my lights. I don't fertilize often (at 1/4 to 1/2 strength) and I spray and water this plant as often as I can. There is some wrinkling of leaves on one growth because I left town for work during the hottest part of the summer and my 'chid sitter was a bit overwhelmed ( +30 C weather for 2 weeks).
Streetmorrisart - I tried at various times of day but could detect no scent but I hadn't heard that it might resemble cedar.
