My first plant post on this forum would have been one of my Paphs (I believed), but there you go with one of my Catasetums. I was waiting for those blooms for one year and a half now, given that the plant was an import from the Southern hemisphere. Stunning flower architecture and functionality -- the slightest pressure on the lip causes the pollen to eject instantly.
A botanist friend of mine, told me that this is not a saccatum however. It is most likely what is described as Catasetum christyanum (https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/82584#page/605/mode/1up); yet the two names are considered a synonym.
