I visited a bog in NH to see the White Fringed orchids and the Calapogons. The Calapogons were out of bloom, except one hidden plant that was still in bud. Here are some pictures of what I saw.

Picture Key:

1. A view of the bog. The Fringeds were not in bloom on the open bog, just in more protected areas.

2. A small protected stand of Fringeds.

3. Flowers peeking through wild Rosemary

4. Close up view.

I had to take a pciture of this snake. I named her Big Momma and she lives in my rock garden with her babies. She's very beautiful and very long and fat. I'm glad to see she's being good at keeping the pest populations down!

She's now my little sweetheart!
