Sophronitis (syn: Cattleya) cernua flava ‘Yellow Lanterns’

One of my yellow cernuas (my third one, I think) popped out a new growth with two buds. Pretty good shape overall but possibly get rounder with a stronger plant as it’s just established 🙏☺️🤞. NS 3 cm.

    Sophronitis cernua (syn: Cattleya) ‘Carrot’

Always appreciate these carrot colored flowers! First spike to appear so far and looks like a few more new growths coming. 🤞🤞🤞… grows intermediate in winter and dry-ish. Hot summers.

    Sophronitis (syn. Cattleya) cernua ‘Carrot’

This little guy is throwing 3-4 spikes this season. Flowers not as round as other times but hey it’s alive and well lol. Also more tangerine orange (no red tones) this time around.

    Sophronitis cernua flava/aurea in bud!

Another exciting mini cattleya species in bud. This is the rare yellow form of cernua. Another week to open! The anticipation is killing me 😂. Grows inside the large warm (19-23C) terrarium, mounted on cork, next to fan. Wet in morning, dry by evening.

    Sophronitis cernua

Cute little thing on a mount. First to flower... off season a bit with only one inflorescence. The other larger sister plant usually flowers with 4 to 5 clusters.
