    Sophronitis coccinea aurea ‘Masako Hanajima’ FCC/AOS

    This stunning bright yellow coccinea got an FCC at the Tamiami show. So round! Guess who bought the sister plants (plus 3 unbloomed sibs lol). * Had Francisco Miranda help confirmed and do a comparison in case I change my mind lol. What say my orchid friends here?

    Cattleya dowiana var aurea ‘Golden Dragon’s Blood’

    My plant flowering beautifully in Brazil by my orchid friend/grower/foster parent Anderson Cassano (dentist/orchid judge in Sao Paolo). Bright yellow 14-cm fragrant flowers with a golden veined red lip.

    Cattleya (syn. Laelia) tenebrosa aurea (semialba)

    A stunning bright sunny yellow with no brown tones. Lip is scarlet red on white background. Huge at 18.2 cm NS by 18 cm vertically, it follows its ancestor ‘Walton Grange’ FCC/AOS (NS 19.5 cm). Though form is pinched at tepals, the erect dorsal sepal and size make the flower look formidable...

    Sophronitis cernua flava/aurea in bud!

    Another exciting mini cattleya species in bud. This is the rare yellow form of cernua. Another week to open! The anticipation is killing me 😂. Grows inside the large warm (19-23C) terrarium, mounted on cork, next to fan. Wet in morning, dry by evening.
