We went from San Francisco up to Portland OR in spring. Root 101, Mendocino, Redwoods, but the most fascinating part was Crater Lake. But it is in Oregon.

Got the same plant about year ago. Was planing to get rid of it because the bloom was not impressive but this spring it blooms again with about 12 flowers. The flowers are small but the plant itself is not big.

Did I understand correct that you can take virus infected plant and clone it in a way that meristem plants will be clean? Do you have links where i can read about it?

I am collecting orchids for 4 year now and i am very serious about orchid viruses. I tested most of my orchids, without regret discard positive ones. Surprisingly, not many were positive before, but I can see clear pattern. If 2 or 3 plant from same nursery appeared positive I never go back to...

What is the name of creature #1? Is it cattleya? Love Blc. Mini victory. It is a great bloomer.

How many years do you think it will take то bloom? 7-10 years?

There are indoor and outdoor bonsais. Depends on a tree sourse. The roots of the plant in a small pot is more sensitive for freezing, I usually dig my outdoor plants in pots inside the soil and in spring get them back. Or if you have a cool garage you can keep them here.

100% agree with Lance! It was targeting the experienced grower. And it worked! I am king of newbie myself and first thing you get to know that there are "good quality vendors" and then you suddenly realize that not all the plants with the same name are the same..

But selling with the full disclosure now does not guarantee that this plant several month later will appear on ebay with tag "OZ breeding" without ugly looking flower and with very good price and somebody will buy it. And then the reputation can be ruined:)

Thanks to everybody for your answers. We are planing to stay half time near Kona and second half near Volcano or Hilo. Did not rent yet.
