Not since the '80s. But all those "papuanums' bloomed out to be violascens.
 
I wish papuanum would become "typical" in cultivation.

It is VERY common in the Indonesian trade, but the plants rarely survive transportation. That's why we never see it in quantities.
 
Truly! I don't think I've ever seen it for sale.

There's probably a handful up at Orchid's Limited.

I think they had some plants listed as ziekianum within the last 5 years.

Same boat as sangii, mastersianum, wentworthianum. Generally not very prolific, easy to kill, and low germination rates.
