I know this may be too calm for some here, but sometimes I go on a reading binge (this time to help me avoid repacking into a new apt lol)

I'm right now failing at reading "A Dance with Dragons" and "The Fellowship of the Ring". I'm almost finished with both of them, but haven't touched them in months. I've read a lot of manga in between though. :p

I'm in the middle of reading all eight books of OUTLANDER so I can spoil
those who are hooked on the tv series, but won't read the books.

Yah hahaha!
Ooo, should we join forces and spoil these two series for everybody who doesn't read the books?

I just finished off "The Gap: The Science of What Separates Us from Other Animals" by Thomas Suddendorf. Very interesting read.

I have a collection of essays by TH Huxley I'm going through but the text is so circumlocutious... It is just too tedious. (Aldous Huxley didn't inherit his writing talent from Gran-dad.) I may ditch it to read Catch 22 again.

Aldous can be a bit circumlocutious too. Read his poetry sometime if you
have the desire to drive yourself crazy. Thomas Henry is a bit obscure
at times, isn't he?

Oh yes, Therese, let's do! Are you in love with the characters in the
tv series? So well done and Jamie is quite nice to look at as well. I'm
looking forward to April when the series starts the second book. My
husband is a Scot and even he's interested in the series and books. I really like kilts!

I haven't watched the TV-series, I've only read the books. I am in love with the characters in the books, though (love the books), and if they've managed to capture them properly in the TV-series, I'll be very happy (I'm planning on watching it).

I liked the books enough to write an essay about them, when I studied at the university. :rollhappy:

The series follows the books very closely and production values are just
fantastic and actually shot in the Highlands with gorgeous scenery. The
actors are exactly right for the characters. You're gonna love it!

I will be reading the books when I can pry them out of my husband's hands.
