commonly known as the Snake Mouth orchid is a terrestrial native to the Eastern US and Eastern lower Canada. found in wet open woods, meadows, swamps and sphagnum bogs. I can not take credit for blooming it for it arrived in spike from a trade I recently did. The plant blooms on a slender green stalk with a slender leaf about midway up and terminates in a single flower. There is a small leaf-like bract just under the flower. One sepal is damaged, most likely be transport.
