First bloom on this for me. I love the color, it’s a small flower 6cm NS. What’s the weird right petal thing? Is it an anomaly or likely to repeat?

I am beating on it being an anomaly that will correct itself over time. I have bloomed a few of these and not seen that as an issue.
Phrags absolutely hate me, but I won't give up!!! Absolutely gorgeous flower!!!!

Even the next flower could be fine if you have another bud coming…
They hated me too, until I moved them up into my bathroom with a big eastern exposure window and ambient room temp. Hi about 76. My grow room has a summer high of 84 and they steadily declined as temps rose. Plus I give them more water than I used to, also with besseae I grow them sitting in about ½” of distilled water. I put an air hole in the pot (with a soldering iron puncture tool) just above the level of the water so they get bottom air. When the water is used, I re-water, let drain and add new distilled. Monocotman grows them this way. It works. All the others are watered just as the top thinks about getting dry. You can do this!!
