I got this plant in pretty bad shape from Eric M. a while ago.

Mine's Bigger ! :poke:
Though it should be, I made and registered that cross some 10 or so years ago.

Some of these are very smooth scarlet orange-red, with minimal white and other colors. Try more light, more or higher nitrogen fertilizer, and grow a bit cooler, then the red & orange will saturate the flower better. I have several awarded clones, including Inca Embers 'Condor' AM/AOS and it is a huge monster with smooth red-orange color. Once they start the never seem to stop blooming. Big plants though.

This is a small plant, of an awarded clone. It struggled w/ pest problems, but seems to be doing OK.

In a year or two you should be able to bloom it as nicely as it was when originally awarded. You just have to give it time and "pump it up".
The longer I grow orchids the more appreciative I am of how culture affects flower quality.

Already good and looks like it can get even better! Very nice.

best wishes, Carsten

BTW, the AF on your camera has a great sense of humor.
