Paphiopedilum Alois Handlbauer - xfanaticum X hangianum

A very interesting hybrid came in flower some days ago.
Paphiopedilum Alois Handlbauer, the cross between Paph. xfanaticum X Paph. hangianum. Thje colour of the flower is variabel from white with red veins to greenish yellow.

Certainly different, the second one looks like what I would expect from jackii x hangianum crossing.

OMG! Variable is a mild description! I like the coloring of the first one but it appears to be rather puckered all over. The second one is OK. I would also like to see more clones. It could be interesting to see what direction the next generation will go.

I agree the second looks like a jackii hybrid...not unlike my Wossner Armenijack
