Dendrobium sulawesii

I have this Dendro since 2 years now and it flowers several times per year! it seems to appreciate much light! I love the very strong color. Jean

Ditto what Dot said.....I've had mine several years, grows like mad, gets lots of sun (outdoors now...) and never, ever, blooms.......Eric

Rick, this is a hard thing to accomplish! I had several tries, this is all I could produce: the lip seems to carry some mysteries!! If there is more need, I should have to cut one of the flowers!

Dot, Eric here is a pict. of the plant: it doesn't look great but brings up blooms again and again!

What great colours - but vice versa it's hard for the chip of nearly every digital camera to record these kind of colours properly.

Great one Jean. Mine should open within the week, as well as crepidifolium that hangs next to it. Lot of light and cool(masd. temps)

Dot and Eric, I think as this species is probably related to dend bracteosum and secundum, it needs a long dry cool rest to bloom...

Geez.....that plant is a lot smaller than mine! Cool dry rest? I read that its supposed to be warm (although it is pretty dry in winter....and not all that warm). Take care, Eric
