Hope you'all are not sick and tired of spicerianums yet. This flower is one I produced from seed :)poke::poke: yes TAdd), and is the second year in a row for it to bloom. One of the parents had a nice pink flush to the dorsal sepal and red stems and ovary. This carried through to this flower. Ed M picked up a few of these from me, and they are blooming for the first time for him with this nice pink flush.

That's very nice!

How long do these take to reach flowering size from seed?

Pollination was 12/03
Pod maturity and seed collection 10/04
Seedlings deflasked 10/05
First blooming 10/07

Ed M's are blooming for the first time this year. So the short answer is 3-4 years (at least for me and Ed).
