I got this from Andy's Orchids a couple years ago. I was curious about the difference between this and A. hariotiana. So I decided to look into the original description (my attempt of translation is included in my Orchid Borealis blog post). But it didn't yield any useful info for the distinction. But through the process, I found PDF of this book (A Primer of Botanical Latin with Vocabulary), and reading it for two days dramatically improved my understanding of Latin (link). I've never learned Latin before, but I might try to learn a little more.
