    Retired on the Mendocino Coast

OMG two of my addictions just crashed into each other! 💕 😂 Welcome Kermit! What a treat to have you here. I’m down in Sac and work for a large nursey where Salvia has become my outdoor garden addiction! We have terrible soil and it’s one of the easiest things to grow and keeps my pollinators...

My climate in Sacramento is similar to this and I’m thinking of growing it outside, at least to get the winter temps where they need to be. Should be hardy here in 9B.

Free orchid has scale. Do I trash it?

Yes, we have a sanitizing cycle on our DW I use for all my plastic pots, this is just an outer pot for decorative purposes.

Free orchid has scale. Do I trash it?

I actually just ditched a good size houseplant that had scale. Wasn’t doing what I wanted it to anyways so not as important for me to keep. My question is, best way to make sure the decorative outer glazed ceramic pot it was in is clean so I can reuse it? Will it be enough for me to run it thru...

    bungebelangi

Aww, I didn’t know that. Bunga was one of the nicknames of my beloved cat, Mosi (we almost named her Catabunga). She was really more of a thorn than a flower tho! 😂

What do phrag sheaths look like?

Bust… 😢 They weren’t in my care when they developed. Not sure but I have some growths that are looking like they may spike soon so hopefully the issue has been resolved.
