K-lite and CHC (Coconut Husk Chips)

Cation "attracted" on medium static negative charge cannot be leached by water alone, but exchanged by other cation in solution. calcium not suggested to be mixed as concentrate Ca &P bind at higher(neutral) pH

I would really need help with my fertilizer mix!

    1) Should it be considered the same as malic acid /acetic acid /lactic acid/other TCA inter. in term of bacterial rot promotion? If it is living moss promotive rather the dead one, it’s likely some organics consistently produced and excreted to make the trick… if any 2) Should I bother with...

    pH and EC meter problem

What means by calibrated? freshly calibrated with pH buffer?weekly/monthly? Self read from pH buffer which probe give you closer value? 5.92 vs 6.23 indeed do not differ much if in mininal buffering system fertilizer often get some precipitate/ sticky organics that stick to probe head drifting...

    Fertilizer solution stability

Citric acid alone is enough to turn misty by micro-biomass Ca & H2PO4- can precipitate/eliminate as CaHPO4 toward neutral pH; May wait some time to see if urea drift back pH when hydorlyze as NH3 .....or you actually detect ammonia smell for your urea 13%...... (pH6.5 may be just alkalinzation...

    pH

But one is hard to maintain the pH @5.8 by fertilizer itself, dissolved HCO3- buffer the system ~6.3, once it's mostly gone as CO2, extra acidity drift pH straight below 5. Ca(NO3)2 unlikely to drift pH down to 3~4,it's quite mild acidic species; pH>6 if you measure conc.CaN stock . Ammonium...

    Pale yellowish leaves - why????

    1) For mounted plant /mostly bare root plant with least medium interaction, what to buffer root pH? 2) To conform, pH range suggested in pdf “Orchid Growing Substrates” 5.7; 5.5-6.2 refers to pot / drainage pH rather than irrigation input; saying pot lime do raise back pH 3) Won’t urea lysis...

    Browning Leaf Tips

Do the nitrate-reduction (alkalinity generation) intensify K exhaustion in old leaf? Do nitrate lever Ca2+ influx? (get a quick search on "Ecology of Paphiopedilum rothschildianum at the type locality in Kinabalu Park (Sabah, Malaysia)"some data Ca:K mostly goes to ~1:1) At what ppm K is...

Multipart thread, mineral nutrition of Paphiopedilum

Is somewhere xavier still active? I just left my question here 1)Did he clarify the reason behind the use of high phosphorus fertilizer on mottled one? (?As long as coupling anion is mostly NO3-/H2PO4-/ SO4 2-; he hate NO3-, so H2PO4-….(?)) 2) While the analysis of “natural” and chlorotic one...
