I think your medium is too soggy/worn down, which is why the old bulbs are not producing new growth at the base but throwing aerial keikis (second pic). I would repot in fresh media. For the first plant, I think it would be better to remove the three old brown and shrivelled bulbs and dispose of...
Sukhakulii is a cool grower, not really suitable for tropical lowlands. I think heat stress probably led to the spike being malformed. First one does have pretty wide petals.
Beautiful! Love the veining on the lip of this species. I have a piece of the semi-alba form (I think it is the popular 'La Padrena' clone). I find the leaf tips of new growths keep turning black until I potted the thing in mainly limestone and charcoal. Does anyone else experience this species...
