Awesome!! Congrats!! :)
Great photos of beautifully bloomed lowii and roth!
How many backups do you have of this historic roth?
I miss having lowii. Maybe next year
Or it just isn't a stable true semi-alba.
The blushing could be random with or without environmental cues affecting it. I don't see how Kelp has anything to do with flower colors?
Or it has mutated to this color.
Based on the plant size, I assume that this is your very first time blooming this...
Thank you!
I bought Mormodes rolfeana (yellow flower form) from a Peruflora at Dresden Show last month. Bare root leafless plant but looks like it is starting a spike.
Has your Catasetum pileatum ever made female flowers for you? Do you have it under artificial light?
Even that example given by In-Charm isn't really a mini. Maybe a compact sized plant but after injecting helenae twice in the making of it, the flower count has been sacrificed greatly obviously.
I have also seen this same cross at a Taiwan show and the plants were even bigger!
The smallest...
I saw a bunch of delenatii album in bud sold in rockwool at Dreden show last month.
Apparently they do well in it but I felt uneasy about it.
mmmm I might try some of the common plants as a trial in my conditions.
My semi-alba plant is sending up three new growths. I hope to see at least one flower but this may be the wrong time of the year to expect flowers on this species. Time will tell.
Congrats and good luck! It looks to be a bit tender given the size and the color of the leaves. Or maybe the lighting giving the wrong impression.
Is this species harder to keep going than anitum?
