I got this as a bonus plant in 2014. It has always grown well, but slow. It was around 7 months from when I recognised the bud until it opened.


The flower is not very symmetrical. The pouch has gotten lighter over roughly a week.


I've always grown it in teak vanda baskets in a coarse mix and recently in this plastic basket. The wieght of the flower is pulling the plant forward so I'll have to stake it if I take it to the show in Hamilton this weekend.

So impressed. I don't think I'll ever really bloom a micranthum (or equivalent). I grow one just in case. Congratulations!
