Two of my 3 mossiae semialba pinceladas/flameas in bloom now. I just adore these with their dramatics, their teeny weenie flares! NS 16 cm. Warm growing from Venezuela.

‘Supernova’

‘La Paz’

Both grown beautifully by DavidB.

Unfortunately was passed at judging today due to various interesting reasons, which surprised me. But ‘cest la vie’ as they (who?) say 🥹.

Lovely. These look like they’re from from Steven Christoffersen’s 'Valerio' x 'Llamarada' cross, correct? I have one just opening now, it’s been such a consistent and excellent cross. Really the best qualities of mossiae in all the offspring I’ve seen!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments.

These are not from Steven.

La Paz is from Gerardo in Venezuela.

Supernova was a seedling from Canaima’s breeding lines.

As for judging, there was confusion what they were supposed to compare to. As well as to the form and substance expected from this line.
