Yep, it's only strongly fragrant for a few to several hours in the evening. The scent starts becoming apparent right before dark, then peaks within an hour or two. I find that it's slightly fragrant for most of the night as well, and sometimes has a second peak in the morning.

I like the scent a lot, but it is quite intense. I like to set it on the end table next to my couch and then I'll catch a whiff of it periodically. Also, the scent might need some time to "mature". I recall my Aerangis biloba had a repulsive smell like a dirty urinal for the first few days it was open, but after that, the fragrance changed to a floral hyacinth scent.
