The yellow is a beacon from all the way across the yard. Three 3" flowers this year. As are all of my cyps, it's in a gallon sized plastic pot in cyp mix, sunk into a raised bed in my yard. The raised bed and pot are necessary as our "soil" here is comprised only of compressed clay, rock, and maple roots, with about zero drainage. Some have referred to this one as v.pubescens, but I don't accept that variety as valid. It is a catchall term for various forms, colors, and sizes, including probably quite a few crosses between varietes, and possibly other related species. It's all over the place and clearly not a discrete taxonomic entity.
