It doesn't open any more than this. Just opens those slits on the side enough to look like a sinister snake-vulture thing.





Oh, and while I was at it, I also took this pic of something that isn't an orchid at all! It's Angelonia angustifolia.

That's neat. Is it fragrant? Do you know what its natural pollinator(s) is.
