Two years out of a flask from Chuck Acker. The flower has a span of about 12 cm and the plant is growing in a very small pot. The color is good, but the dorsal is curled a bit. Hopefully, the next bloom will be larger and flatter, and if it blooms earlier in the year, the color should be even better.

Very nice. Another one to the wish list.. :rollhappy:
I actually like the pointed dorsal. It adds to the overall symmetry of the flower.

I think that turned out well. Pretty good color, the only improvement I'd love to see is more intense yellow. I actually like the shape, but I will be interested to see if future flowers produce a flat dorsal.

Lovely colour.

I've had two cases with a less than flat dorsal during first bloom. One improved during second blooming while the other did not.

Sometimes it is environmental but usually genetic.
