venustum Elk Creek x Foxcatcher

Purchased this from Woodstream as a flask in 2009. It is the second year it has bloomed and the flower has been open about a week. The flower has a spread of 9.7 cm and, if it is like last year, it will remain fairly flat.

That is a wonderful clone both in terms of colour and form. Good growing too to flower so quickly from flask.

It's lovely and I'm printing out a photo to take to the greenhouse to show
my venustum how its supposed to look. The spike on mine is about three
inches long, well-formed bud and appears to be in the stuck.

The Foxcatcher clone has this same color scheme, but it is more intense on the pouch and the dorsal is wider. If you Google venustum Foxcatcher FCC/AOS, it is the first item that pops up. I would post the photo, but I'm not sure it would be appropriate without their permission.
