It has five flowers but I got it from a guy who knew nothing about orchids and was slowly killing it. This is its first blooming since I started nursing it back to health.
 
Great Job! It has wonderful form for the straight species! Very impressive!


I certainly agree!! The flower shape is excellent!!! Color is not bad. The test to see if the plant is a true V. coerulea is when the pollen is taken out the flower turns white and the side lobe should look like a can opener with a very prominent longer lower part.

Wow!!! I tried removing the pollen and after about 2 days the flower color faded to a gorgeous white with faint tesselations. Thanks for the tip. It is a very distinct change. Is that true only for this species?
