Hi everybody,

The first bloom of my philippinense had the synsepalum divided in 2. The second has it just a little split. Maybe the third will not have the synsepalum split at all.

It isn’t unusual for first blooms to have all kinds of weird floral manifestations, or even missing parts. If it continues for 3 blooming cycles, then we can confirm it’s genetically program. Until then, it’s but a pimple lol.

Agreed.
Sometimes weird things happen. Furthermore growing conditions like light, moisture etc. also have influences to the bud development.
