The delay that the OP sees is probably a result of his own server not relaying his post quickly.
There could also be a setting in the vB software that creates a delay for some members to give admins a chance to delete unwanted posts. Sort of antispam that only works for spammers that are not very good at it.

Well, sadly, we definitely didn't have that delay the other day...and I was at work and not around to deal with the spam for a few hours. :rolleyes:

Unless you posted it today it wont show on the list.
Check that your computer date and time setting is correct.
Also the "Todays Posts" is probably based on the date and time of the forum server setting.
