Good Morning. What do you do with the last flowers of your Paphiopedilum? Do you cut it?
Is that there are people who say that when cutting the floral rod it remains hollow and if you water the water reaches the eye of the plants and can cause rotting of the plant. If you do not cut as you solve it, waiting for it to disintegrate or cover the hole with some healing paste.
Thanks

I cut the stem soon after the flower fades, but I do not water my plants from the top except for an occasional shower to remove dust. As a windowsill grower I water from the rim of the pot. I don't think I've ever noticed that the stem of a Paph was hollow.
