Best way to treat? Spot treating isn’t working at this point. Still fighting them on my larger plants and it’s going to affect blooming.

I have systemic granules with imadoproclid (sp)…worth a shot or any better suggestions? I kinda hate using the granules….they make a mess of the media but I’m getting more and more annoyed about these guys…

Heather, have you tried OrganiShield from Ray? Based on one of your previous posts I suspect that we both received Phrags with thrips from the same vendor. I’ve been using Organishield and am seeing some nice clean growth at this point.

granules in combination with an insect growth cycle inhibitor works well for me. I use azamax to cover scale, thrips and spider mites in combination with the granules. With azamax and mites it’s almost a weekly treatment for a bit. .

Distance. Or you can get the same thing (maybe a slightly different concentration?) as 'Pivot'. That plus azamax and imidocloprid or Safari as part of the same mix. I think it is really important to use at least two different mechanisms of action simultaneously.

Mites - no imidocloprid. That stuff seems to be spidermite viagra. It either enhances their reproductive rate or perhaps kills off whatever natural predators I had - whatever was going on it always had the opposite effect of what I wanted for mites. There are actually plenty of predator mites you can purchase, they work pretty well.

I agree. I forgot I also use Safari in my rotation.

What are you using for granules. I grow everything inside under lights so am cautious about what I use. I purchased some azamax. Is Safari the granule?
