This is C. Hybrida which was the first Catt hybrid ever. It was created back in 1863, made from two Cattleya species: C. loddigesii x C. guttata. Mine is not as spotty as some but I love it anyway.

Actually, I believe that Calanthe Dominii was created a bit earlier... first bloomed in 1856, but the Hybrida was the first Cattleya hybrid to flower. Still, a very cool piece of history, and a beautiful bloom
