This came out of a mystery flask years ago and I always thought it was the world's slowest-growing vanda. It just came into bloom and revealed its identity.

Very nice! I'd love to see mine get to flowering size some day. They do seem a little slow (years) to get from seedling to bloom under growlights. I'd love to see more of the brightly colored Sarcochilus hybrids available here in Canada too.

Hahah, nothing shady...I think.
Years ago at a society meeting someone brought in a flask that had not been properly labeled, it was opened and everyone took home a mystery baby.

Also, thank you Tom499 for the identification as fitzgeraldii. I don't have any other Sarcochilus, and given the similarity of the species and hybrids I could find, I didn't feel confident enough to label it myself.

Pretty hardy and easy to grow and more people should try them. You should see the colours coming out of Australia now, just amazing!!!

Nice one, the classic white and red is always great to see.
