Don't worry, Charles, yours will soon look like Herbert's! It will quickly fill the pot, especially if you let the seed fall into the pot. It doesn't need sterile culture to germinate and grow. I miss the big one I used to have back in South Africa.

Wow, that's doing well. Do the growths die down in the winter?
They do have a cycle and die back, but I don’t think for the whole winter. I’ve killed ones by drying too much
Nice one! I’ve had a few different times, but didn’t pay attention enough to them. This one likes the clay pot and loose media but I have to make sure I don’t let dry out too much. It gets flooded in the tray periodically and I did put some fert in the bucket
