Well it turns out that my Stan wardii is actually embreei. The guy I got it from said it was either wardii or embreei but he couldn't remember and the tag was gone. After 2 years, it finally bloomed and now I know for sure.

I actually like embreei better.

Anyone know what the scent is on embreei? It smelled spicy to me but it is humid and raining today. I can't really tell for sure.

Rick - yes one more bloom spike working.

Dot - it is mounted on a piece of driftwood. I just make sure it stays moist and humid in the spring and summer (multiple mistings per day). In the winter, I reduce water because I let my shadehouse get no lower than 50 F (I try to maintain 52). If we have a warm spell in winter, I make sure to drench it. Otherwise, it gets a spritz every day or so.

This year, it only got fed twice. I hang it in the lower part of the SH just over the bulbo area so that I don't burn the leaves. In the winter, I can move it up a bit higher, but not much.

I really like the bloom.
