A cute little species that is easy to grow. This one is mounted on a piece of cork. This is a first bloomer.

See, some say it’s easy, but plenty have Eric’s experience with it too. I’m always on the fence with those purchases, but yours certainly leaves me thinking about it again—have had as much luck with some of the ones with bad reputations as the so-called “beginner” plants. I guess it’s supposed to be more warmth-tolerant than the rest of the genus, so I suppose that’s how it got the easy grower rep.
 
I had a cernua that thrived for at least a decade, on a mount. I used to bring it out to my LI summer place so it could be watered regualrly...then a neighbor kid tossed it into a tank with a turtle. Oh well...............g.dam brat! Eric
