Phrags generally grow and bloom fine for me but occasionally I'll get a few that have this phenomenon on the tips of the new leaves. Here is a front and back photo of a leaf. Is it something eating on them or is it strictly cultural? Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

I see that a bit. I think it's because I use tap water.

While it does resemble pitting due to mites, I've yet to see them on any Phrags (last year I almost lost a few neighboring Paphs to false spider mites).

I have some w/ the same problem but as long as it doesn't affect the overall health of the plant or spread to the neighbors I'm not going to sweat it.
