some sarracenias (North American pitcher plants) can grow in the tropics... they take up less space than nepenthes...

a s.alata hybrid...the pitchers are about a foot tall..

a s.leucophylla hybrid...pitchers also about a foot tall...

s. purpurea.. the diameter of a rosette is about 1 foot..
 
hehe... actually, my garden is not big... my colllection is divided into 2 growing areas.. the sarracenias here are hung on 2-tier racks, so they do not take up much space. i hang them with my paphs. this shade area is also where i grow my bulbos, coels, dends etc... then at the back, i have a small 'sunny corner' where i put my vandas, spathoglottis, grammatophyllums etc... :)
