What does everyone think of the cross rothschildianum 'Sam's Best' x 'Rex'? Any better ones out there you would recommend?

Hi E-spice,

Sam's best X Rex is a highly regarded clone. I have Mont Milais X Rex and it is a compact plant with great darker flowers than usual. Likes pretty bright light for a paph.

I missed this. I can't recall all the breeding behind Sam's Best (maybe do a search here for it?) but I do recall it was one of the better ones to be blooming out well recently. I think Lien Luu posted a photo of his when it bloomed.

Edit - he did but the photo link has been removed. However, I turned up two long roth related threads when I searched for "sam's best", Geff, you might do the same and settle in for some reading.
