First bloom seedling purchased at the Redland orchid festival in 2019. From Orchid Eros. It’s true. What they say.. you might have read the recent AOS article from Tom Mirenda complementing Ben Oliveros and his growing. Personally I don’t know Ben, but when I walked into his tent for the first time I immediately thought to myself.. I’ve been walking around this hot sweaty festival all morning and hands down, these are the best looking and rooted seedlings I’ve seen at the show. Not only are his offering in the best shape, they are $7-$12 each. Which, made it easy for me to put my hand up as I walked down the aisle and indiscriminately pull pots from the racks to my overflowing bags. This is the first to bloom and I am impressed with how fast it bloomed.. definitely thought I would be waiting out these seedlings for many years. Little to no fragrance.. just opened up. Will need a bigger pot.

enjoy.

If it is anything like the one I had many years ago, it may fade to green. Which is a more interesting color. Kind of freaked me out the first time it happened. :)
